Wyndham continues to grow, and we urgently need more schools.

The State Government is responsible for building new schools, and they decide when and where the school should be built.

To meet the educational needs of our growing communities we need a comprehensive, long-term schools provision plan to support Wyndham’s children and families.

We need action now - here’s why

Check out the below graphs to find out how school access in Wyndham compares with the rest of Melbourne. On average, children in Wyndham’s growth areas have around half the number of primary schools compared to Greater Melbourne.

We have the highest number of students per government school in the whole of Victoria. There are nearly one thousand students on average (983) per government school in Wyndham, compared to a Greater Melbourne average of about half that (554 students per government school)

Acknowledgement of Traditional Custodians

Schools4Wyndham recognises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Custodians of the lands on which Australia was founded.  We acknowledge the Wathaurung, Woiwurrung and Boonwurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Owners of the lands on which Wyndham is being built. We pay respect to the wisdom and diversity of past and present Elders. We share commitment to nurturing future generations of Elders in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
